A Helsinki based VR startup company called Varjo has been making some bold statements about their current technology. During this year’s Slush conference, Varjo CEO Urho Konttori stated that they are “capable of nearly 100 times higher resolution than today’s best high-end VR headsets.”
PlayStation Japan Reveals Trailer For New And Upcoming VR Games
Sony has been doing a great job in creating hype around their relatively new VR headset, PSVR. So far this year, we’ve seen tons of new VR games for the PlayStation VR including Skyrim VR and DOOM VFR. Skyrim VR has actually been such a big hit recently that it topped in sales over the likes of the Nintendo switch version of the game and Destiny 2.

Qualcomm Announces The Snapdragon 845 Chip Which Runs 120 FPS For VR And Delivers 4K Content
This new powerful chip was designed to “blur the lines between physical and virtual worlds,” according to Qualcomm. “Snapdragon 845 introduces an integrated Qualcomm Spectra 280 image signal processor (ISP) and Qualcomm Adreno 630 visual processing subsystem.”
HTC Will Be Selling The Vive Focus For $600
A couple weeks ago HTC announced that they’ll be releasing a standalone VR headset called the Vive Focus. This new HMD will be tetherless and won’t require a mobile device to operate. Today, they’ve revealed that the headset will be available to pre-order starting December 12th for roughly around $600 in China.

The time has come. Bethesda has announced that Fallout 4 VR will be launching on Monday, December 11th at 5PM PST / 7PM EST for the HTC Vive on Steam. They have moved it up one day from the prior launch date they had set. Fallout 4 VR is a heavy-loaded RPG game which will be available in-store for $59.99. Watch How This Legendary Disney Animator Draws The Mermaid In VR On James Corden’s Show
Recently, James Corden decided to include VR into his latest segment. He invited Disney’s legendary animator Glen Keane to draw The Little Mermaid in VR using Tilt Brush.
With the use of the HTC Vive headset and room-scale tracking, Keane was able to draw the masterpiece in VR. Not only is that impressive but he drew The Little Mermaid live on stage in a span of one song.
