Warner Bros. Releases Tomb Raider VR – Lara’s Escape Prior To The Movie Launch
The Tomb Raider franchise seems to be revamped and ready to dominate the market once again as Warner Bros. will be releasing the new movie featuring Alicia Vikander on March 16,2018. The franchise will focus on the adventurous side of Lara Croft over the sexy and seductive side once seen by Angelina Jolie.
Warner Bros. has released a VR experience to go along with the upcoming movie called Tomb Raider VR: Lara’s Escape where you get to explore a trap-filled tomb as Tomb Raider herself.
In the trailer you can see how dark and spooky the cave is. This is a cinematic VR experience that will be based around the upcoming movie. You will have to use Lara’s flashlight to explore crumbling caverns in the dangerous, trap-filled cave. Users will be able to wield a bow and climbing axe to escape capture as you rappel, climb and zip-line to safety.
This VR experience is available today on the Samsung Gear VR for free. There isn’t really any definitive answer if this will become available on the HTC Vive, PlayStation VR, or Oculus Rift.
