Studio Archiact has recently published their new IP called Freediver: Triton Down for the VR community.
Freediver: Triton Down is a fully interactive single-player adventure experience in virtual reality where you will take on the role of Ren Tanaka who is a freediver, capable of swimming to incredible depths without the use of scuba gear.
A close call on her last dive has kept her landlocked for months, but when her mentor Dr. Lindstrom, an eccentric and brilliant scientist, claims to have made a stunning discovery in an underwater cavern, Ren decides to return to the deep.
In this unique VR experience you will have to survive a harrowing nautical disaster where oxygen is your only resource and the rising seawater being your greatest adversary. You will have to navigate through the virtual spaces with intuitive dive and swim movement.
The challenge will be to stay calm, think fast, and use your environment to escape. In the game you will get to listen to some awesome handcrafted music and SFX from an award-winning audio team.
As seen in the trailer, the environment is well designed and detailed. If you can handle the claustrophobic environments and the virtual depths of water, this can be an exciting VR experience for you. You can get your hands on Freediver: Triton Down today for $8.99 on the Steam store. The game is available for both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
