While at CES, we got to see a demo of the camera in action and it was quite impressive. The details from their pre-recorded shots showed deep details on the cliffs and a sharp radiance of color that’s reflected from the ocean. They also boasted their live-stream feature which was capturing the floor at CES. There isn’t yet a set release date on the 360 camera but they hope to have the solution out before the year’s end. They’re also alpha-testing the cameras with early developers to see how they can further improve the camera. Expect the Sphericam 2 to be in the mid $2K range.
