There are some recent rumors floating around that Rockstar is currently remastering L.A. Noire for PlayStation VR. Rockstar is a highly renowned gaming studio making AAA hit titles such as Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, which have gone on to shatter sale records. In fact, while Grand Theft Auto V has been released 4 years ago, it’s still a largely played game by the gaming community.
According to sources at ComicBook, VR features have already been prototyped by RockStar for L.A. Noire and will make it’s way onto the PSVR platform. It’s quite tough to say if these rumors are valid as we don’t know the direct source to validate these claims.
This would’ve been something that RockStar could’ve announced during E3 but nothing of this sort was apparent at the gaming conference. However, like the rumors that circulated about Skyrim VR prior to launch, L.A. Noire might be coming to fruition. This actually seems like a more likely rumor than when we first heard about Bethesda making a full remaster of Skyrim for VR.
L.A. Noire was first released in 2011, which sort of makes it an outdated game. But given it’s unusually high-rating, people will probably embrace the title and be more than happy to play the game again over again in VR. We’ll keep you updated on any further development.
