Oculus Jason Rubin: My Team Has Multiple Multi-Million Dollar Rift Titles In The Works
With all the news coming out about next generation headsets, Oculus Go, and Santa Cruz, certain people felt as though that the team was paying less attention to the Rift. But that surely isn’t the case according to Jason Rubin, VP of Content at Oculus.
In a tweet directed towards VRFocus and their recent article, Jason Rubin replied “You talking about the Oculus I work at?? Rift is still a top priority for all parts of the company.”
You talking about the @Oculus I work at?? Rift is still a top priority for all parts of the company. My team has multiple Multi-million dollar Rift titles in the works, our largest investments yet. And FB Spaces was designed to be cross-platform from Day 1. No strategy changed.

While Oculus may be working on various headsets and projects, he issued a statement that reaffirms their focus on the Rift. In addition, Rubin mentioned that the team has invested in multiple multi-million dollar Rift titles that we will get to see in the near future. “My team has multiple Multi-million dollar Rift titles in the works, our largest investments yet.
This includes the upcoming VR games like Echo Combat by Ready at Dawn studios and the untitled game by Titanfall creators, Respawn Entertainment. To note, Respawn was recently bought out by EA Games. And these are just some of the titles we know about. Oculus has multiple projects that are yet announced and still in the works.
On top of that, Rubin addressed any concerns about FB Spaces stating, “FB Spaces was designed to be cross-platform from Day 1. No strategy changed.”
There seems to be a lot in the pipeline for the Oculus team in terms of content and their focus. They have yet to announce hardware updates to the Rift headset like the HTC Vive but that might be in the horizon some time in the near future.
