Nvidia States That They’ve Just Fixed The 390.65 Bug And Will Be Rolling Out A New GeForce Game Ready driver later this month

Recently, Oculus stated that the Nvidia driver was having some problems causing the blackscreen effect on the Rift displays.
In specific, they stated, “If you are using an Nvidia GPU and currently experiencing display or performance issues with your Oculus Rift, please make sure you’re using driver version 388.59. Later versions may cause compatibility issues with Oculus software.”
While it seemed like Nvidia had no answer to this problem, one of the customer care team members stated, “We just fixed this bug and will roll out the fix to users in our next GeForce Game Ready driver later this month,” on a Reddit post in regards to this issue.
This means that the Nvidia team has identified the problem and will be addressing the issue some time this month with a new GeForce Game Ready Driver update.
So for those of you still getting the blackscreen effect on the Rift displays, you should downgrade to the 388.59 for now. Here is a link that’ll allow you to downgrade from 390.65.
No oculus rift issues, but all drivers after 388 causes my vive to turn off the screen after 9 sec, and even the latest unofficial 391.05 removes all game audio. So i’m sticking with 388
