We are getting closer and closer to the release of Ready Player One in theaters. For those of you new to the story, Ready Player One takes place in a future dystopian society where people find escape in the virtual world called the OASIS. We’ve been fortunate enough to see a few trailers that provide small details to the upcoming movie but the newest trailer provides some big insights into the story.
In the trailer you can clearly see the main characters along with the supporting cast embarking on their mission to find the Easter Eggs that will provide them with the key to The OASIS along with a fortune. Wade first enters the screen where he puts on the headset and explains the virtual world of the OASIS.
Further into the trailer, you can see Wade with his group of friends where he leads the charge to save the OASIS. You also get to see the sneak peek inside Aech’s Garage where you’ll find the Iron Giant come to life. The Iron Giant has been shown multiple times throughout various trailers indicating that it’ll play a big role.
Something new inside this trailer is how you can see players use 6DoF technology to roam about in the real world while being inside the virtual one. It clearly indicates that their real-life movement is tracked inside the virtual world, which provides a more immersive experience. The players appear to be using the Halo Master Chief avatars to fight in the massive war.
There’s definitely going to be a lot of action in this movie where along with some notable movie and video game characters. We’ve already spotted a few throughout the trailers and it is quite exciting. Ready Player One will be releasing in theaters on March 29, 2018 and we cant be more excited to see it.
