Netflix Is Now Available On Google’s Daydream View Headsets
Last week Google released a VR app for HBO NOW on the Daydream View VR headset. Today, Netflix joins the ranks with the release of a VR app for their streaming service on the Google headsets.
Similar to the Netflix version on the Samsung Gear VR, the VR app will put you in a big screen TV mode where you’ll be given a theater like feel. This allows you to expand the screen sizes to be bigger than traditional 2D screens.
There’ll be no offline mode just yet and every show or movie must be streamed for now. The app is also separate from the traditional Netflix apps on the Android devices so you must download the VR app version in order for it to work on Google’s Daydream.
We’ll be waiting patiently until the VR version of Netflix allows us to watch our favorite shows offline.
