Last year Intel announced a special partnership with Turner Sports to broadcast some of the marquee matchups in the NBA including the All-Star games through the TNT network. Now the two companies are pushing the initiative a little further to where you’ll be able to re-watch some of the highlights and also live-stream NBA games in real-time.
The newly announced TNT VR app will put you inside TNT’s Studio J which has been virtually recreated for VR. This will primarily serve as the portal to where you can pick and choose the content you want to watch.
In order to watch the various content you must first log in with your cable subscription. After, you’ll have access to various camera angles to watch your favorite NBA games. TNT plans to stream the upcoming NBA All-Star games on February 18th.
After, Turner Sports will be livestreaming one NBA game per week through the TNT VR app. The first game to be livestreaming through the app will be the LA Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors taking place on February 22nd. They will be wrapping up the scheduled livestream on April 10th where the Boston Celtics face off against the Washington Wizards.
