Happy 1 Year Anniversary HTC Vive — Viveport Subscription Launches Today on ‘Vive Day’

What a joyous day to celebrate! Today marks the 1 year anniversary of the release of the HTC Vive VR headset. It has brought us so much joy and excitement over the past year and VR & FUN would personally like to thank the team members over at Vive.
And to celebrate this monumental occassion, HTC will be launching the first-ever VR subscription service. Vive users will now have over 50 titles to choose from where subscribers will be able to experience five different Viveport apps a month from an expanding collection.
Some of the titles that will be included in the launch will be TheBlu, Everest VR, Mars Odyssey, Apollo 11 VR, Fantastic Contraption, and more. These were some of the biggest and highest reviewed VR experiences available throughout the past year and will now be available for download today through Viveport Subscription.
In addition, to celebrate ‘Vive Day’, HTC is rewarding fans by giving away Arcade Saga, an action sports VR title. HTC will be offering this limited time offer for 24-hour starting 12:01am PDT on April 5th through 12:01am PDT on April 6th. (You can also add Arcade Saga to your Viveport Subscription). Vive users who are interested in getting a free copy of the VR game can visit Viveport between those hours.
Steam has also joined in on the action to offer exclusive discounts on HTC Vive ready games such as Arizona Sunshine and Batman Arkham VR. The sale will run until April 10, 10 AM EST.
HTC will be offering the Viveport subscription for $6.99 per month, which is quite a catch considering the quality of VR experiences that will be available through the subscription. HTC will also be offering a free month of subscription this month for those who are interested.
