Amidst some of the problems that Google is dealing with, the tech giant is slashing hundreds of dollars off their Pixel smartphones to draw in new customers. The VR ready smartphones come equipped with some of the latest technology including a powerful chip made by Qualcomm.
The Google Pixel 5-inch 32GB model were originally priced at $649 but now have been reduced to $524. This is over $100 off the original MSRP. The Pixel XL models were originally $769 and now are available for purchase at $569. That’s $200 off original MSRP. Additionally, if you purchase the smartphones from the Google Store, you’ll receive a free Google Daydream headset, which is normally $79. In total, this could potentially be close to a $300 savings.

The Daydream platform by Google is continuously being revamped with new features so having a Google Pixel phone would be beneficial for people looking to see and play the latest VR experiences. LG and Samsung smartphones will be Daydream ready in the near future as well.
