Google has announced the new Daydream View VR headsets for mobile devices. This new generation HMD features many upgrades with new designs to provide comfort for every user. It was also designed with the Pixel 2 in mind.

Google used similar soft fabric that makes it easy to wear with less added weight. The fabric is breathable and comes in 3 different colors: Charcoal, Fog, and Coral.

The new Daydream headset features a top strap which is similar to the Gear VR for better support and weight balance. They’ve also added a strap to the back of the headset where you can store the Daydream wand when it’s not being used.

When Google Daydream first launched it featured 25 apps and games. Today, Daydream has more than 250 titles which is a huge upgrade to the platform. Google is also focused on delivering exclusive VR content.

You’ll have access to front row seats with intimate performances from the likes of Ed Sheeran at Austin City Limits and more. You’ll also hear confessions from Trevor Noah or be able to see original content from Felix & Paul Studios.

Another cool feature is being able to cast the content your watching on the headset to your TV. This allows your friends and family members to see what your seeing through the Daydream headset. This functionality will work through the Chromecast.

The new Daydream View VR headset will start shipping Oct. 17 for $99.99. You can find it today on Amazon and the Google Store. Google opened up its rolodex to be more compatible with other phone manufacturers which brings together the community and option pool.
