Echo Combat is a game that we’ve all been craving for without realizing it. From the weapons, abilities, and of course, the gameplay, Echo Combat is most similar to Blizzard’s Overwatch.
In Echo Arena, your mission was to throw laser discs into a goal. In Echo Combat you and your team will have to provide cover and lead a flamingo shape payload to the end of the map with your teammates. This is similar in concept to Blizzard’s Overwatch.
Echo Combat Gameplay
As of right now there are only two abilities, healing allies using a beam to repair them and creating a shield for you and your team to use for more cover. You will also have grenades that you can use your advantage! One is thrown like a disc that you can detonate at your will and another one that you throw at enemies to stun them.
Players will have three different guns to choose from for different play styles. The Pulsar is an assault rifle, Nova is a shotgun and comet is a sniper rifle. So far there is only one map but this will expand according Dana, Ready At Dawn’s Lead Game Designer. He ensured us that this game will be supported with new updates which means we can expect new maps, weapons, and abilities!
Dana also shared with us that even though Echo Combat is coming out soon, they will continue to support Echo Arena. They are actively listening to the community to help balance out the game and maybe even new maps. Even though we expect Echo Combat to have a much bigger fan base, it’s nice that that they will still be giving some love to Echo Arena. And if that’s still not enough for you, we are also told that the story of Jack and Liv is not over! They aren’t releasing anything just yet but we can definitely look forward to an extension for Lone Echo.
